Our unique house, located in Trehörningsjö in the north of Sweden is now for sale! I have finally gotten my dream job as a manager within the state sector, which has led to our family having to move.
Because of the change in workplace, our family can no longer live in our beloved house. It was a really difficult decision to make because we have grown very fond of it as well as the surrounding community.
We hope to find a buyer who become equally in love with the house and surroundings as we are.
Here are some general facts about the house:
It was built in 1911 by a one of the regions wealthiest family who later lived in the house during the coming forty years.
During the 50’s, the local police station was placed in the building, it was run by the police chief who now lived here. As a memory from its time as a police station, there are now two cellars in the basement which now serves as perfect storage. The Cellars were only used for smaller crimes such as too long visits to the local pub. The house has always been inhabited since the day it was built. After its glory days as a police station, it was owned by the same family until the year of 2006 when we bought it.
Layout of the house:
4 reception rooms, 3 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms and two/three kitchens + an apartment with a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom
Heating opportunities: pellets, wood or electricity. If you are interested, there is also the possibility of installing geothermal heating.
Water and sewage is handled by the municipality.
The living area is around 175 sqm per floor (2 floors)
Aside from the living space, there is a basement with a laundry room and other big areas you can use as storage or as a workshop. There is also a great loft, it is about 120 square meters and is currently used as a storage space.
